Countryside
What i did
Photographer/DOP/ Director
Description
There are places where time flows differently, and every second seems to carry more weight. When Herse 1868—a symbol of pre-war elegance and Polish sartorial craftsmanship—entrusted me with the „Countryside” campaign, I knew there was only one place that could serve as the backdrop for this story: Gałkowo.
The Aesthetics of Returning to Roots
Gałkowo is more than just a Masurian village; it is a sanctuary where equestrian tradition meets an elusive spirit of aristocratic tranquility. Our goal was to capture the collection in its natural habitat—away from the urban hustle, surrounded by historic stables, sandy paths, and the raw beauty of the Masurian landscape.
Light, Texture, Detail
Through the lens, I focused on the dialogue between the collection’s noble materials and the textures of the surroundings. The wools, silks, and meticulously refined details of the Herse 1868 garments harmonized with the soft morning light filtering through the Puszcza Piska canopy and the rustic honesty of wood and stone.
-
Frames: Airy and spacious, prioritizing authenticity and calm.
-
Vibe: A modern interpretation of the classic landed gentry lifestyle, where elegance does not exclude ease, and quality speaks for itself.
A Cinematic Journey Through Gałkowo
Alongside the photoshoot, a film was produced to serve as a dynamic complement to the visual narrative. Motion allowed us to showcase the fluidity of the fabrics and the naturalness of gestures—elements key to the Herse identity. It is a story of returning to what is enduring, artisanal, and quintessentially Polish.
